Kitsune Fox Screenprint (choice of 3 colours)
What better way to celebrate the summer than with the curiously wonderful daisy fox?
Inspiration: Kitsune is Japanese for fox. I don't speak Japanese but I like the word.
Sometimes foxes are portrayed as tricksters (all my favourite animal friends seem to be) but sometimes they are faithful guardians. My fox is an helpful sort of vulpine friend, I have her on my wall to keep an eye on things with her watchful gaze.
Process: I painted this fox with Japanese sumi-e inks and converted the picture to a screen print, then drew a chiyogami inspired daisy flower pattern to the fur to create of contemporary fine art screen print. I've signed this edition with chops (those little stamps in the corner), but if you want it signed in the conventional way, just let me know and I'm happy to do it!
Makes a lovely gift for fox (and summer) loving friends. Frame it for a wall; post it to a friend; pop it in a scrapbook. Don't forget to see my the other versions ( The blue version) and ( The unpatterned version) and of course the autumn Maple hare print.
Size: A4 acid free, smooth, heavy weight cartridge paper (that's 297 x 210 mm or 11.7 x 8.3 in). Fits standard sized frames (not supplied)
Materials: I use water based (eco friendly) acrylic inks in prussian blue create this artprint. All materials are archival to last as an heirloom into the future.
Important Stuff: My screenprints are hand printed and hand registered by eye and unlike computer generated images are subject to slight variations that make each a unique piece of art.
